Lovely Liverpool

Here are a few pics from our recent trip to Liverpool, european capital of cultural 2008 and famous for The Beatles!

 Busy Liverpool city centre

 Liverpool Christmas switch on :-)

A cool Costa Coffee Building

Me in The Cavern where Brian Epstein first saw The Beatles perform on 9 November 1961.

Beatle Street

We also took a visit to the Tate Liverpool gallery, here are a few famous scultures we saw there.

Tate Liverpool: Pablo Picasso’s Cock 1932

Tate Liverpool: Richard Long

Tate Liverpool: Salvador Dali Lobster Telephone 1936

Liverpool is definately a cool place to visit, we stayed for three days and were amazed by the amount of shopping areas especially Liverpool One which is a new open air multi level shopping area.  We also visited the Liverpool football club shop and bought a few xmas pressies for my brother who has been a big fan since he was a child (Not telling what they are though Jaime!)

 Our tired Christmas shopping feet!

Bye for now :-)
